Aside from a smattering of fixes, here are some notable improvements:
Faster OBD-II PID querying (MK2)
Improvements have made available the full speed of OBD-II querying – reports are coming in with results of 200+ PIDs/second!
Bluetooth telemetry at 50Hz
Bluetooth telemetry now runs at 50Hz by default, vs the 10Hz in previous versions. Cellular telemetry link remains at 10Hz.
GPS Improvements (MK2)
We saw some cases where GPS messages were being missed internally in the firmware. This fix switches the firmware over to the GPS module’s binary protocol, which makes processing the data much more efficient.
From the change log file:
* Improved GPS processing performance, reduced chances of dropped packets from module. * Bumped fast-link telemetry (i.e. Bluetooth link) to 50Hz. * Reduced delay between PID querying for MK2 * Fixed OBD-II PID configuration message handling for PID counts > 8. PIDs limited to 10 until app supports sending PID configuration in batches * IMU calibration correctly accounts for physical channel re-mapping * Guard against floating point overflow for setting configuration options * Fixed issue where writing IMU config caused subsequent errors in IMU output
