Megajolt Exposed!

I’ve been kicking around the idea of illustrating the birth of a Megajolt Lite Jr. (MJLJ) Programmable Ignition Controller.  While fulfilling a significant order for one of our major distributors, Boost Engineering, I was inspired to snap a picture of a work in progress.

Yes, it’s a step mid-process in the assembly.  And trust me, the earlier steps are actually far more cool.  But since I wanted to make a quick, chirpy post I thought I’d show it here.  Later we will assemble all of the steps into a fantastic Megajolt Building Montage!

So onward:  pictured below are 24 Megajolt MAP-sensor-optioned boards waiting to pass through our Drag Solder Machine.  This is a machine designed to batch solder the bottom of boards in one pass, and in only a few minutes. Indeed, much easier than soldering by hand!  In fact, I can hold a beer in one hand while pushing the main button, and then chortle while watching the machine do its magic.

There you go.

Oh, and be sure to check out Boost Engineering‘s website for a great Megajolt/EDIS Air-cooled conversion kit! They did a bang-up job!
